Moirans, May 4, 2026 — French deeptech group Huelco announces a €2.5 million funding round to industrialize Orioma and accelerate its large-scale deployment. Orioma markets LOBX, an ultra-low-power, energy-autonomous, low-carbon IoT sensor that eliminates batteries and wiring, reduces building energy consumption, and enhances security. This new round brings total funds raised since the group’s creation to over €7.1 million.
The round includes Financière de Sorlin, LVMA, GTI (Gestion Tourisme et Immobilier), Gacherey Holding, and a pool of private investors, with support from Bpifrance, Société Générale, BNP Paribas, and Crédit Coopératif. This milestone marks a turning point for the group, which is now launching large-scale production of LOBX for the smart building market.
An integrated deeptech model serving breakthrough technology
By bringing together Orioma, Xdigit, and Steepulse within a single group, Huelco deploys a unique integrated approach. While many players rely on fragmented ecosystems, the group controls the entire value chain: component design, sensor development, software intelligence, and on-site deployment.
Orioma designs autonomous IoT solutions for smart buildings; Xdigit develops low-power semiconductors; and Steepulse secures software architectures and deployments. Together, they ensure continuity from innovation to production and real-world usage.
This integration enables Huelco to accelerate innovation, secure production, and deliver high-performance, robust, and energy-efficient solutions. In a context of technological sovereignty and increasing pressure on energy performance, the group leverages this model to turn technological advances into impactful operational solutions.
“We control the entire chain, from silicon to the field. This integration ensures speed of execution, independence, and quality control—key differentiators in our market,”
says Serdar Manakli, Founder and CEO of Huelco.
A solution at the heart of the smart building

At the core of the group’s strategy, Orioma markets LOBX, an IoT sensor powered by ambient light—natural or artificial—and capable of operating for up to 15 years without maintenance.
Easy to install, with no batteries or wiring constraints, it continuously analyzes occupancy, temperature, light levels, and thermal anomalies. It transforms buildings into adaptive environments that respond in real time to usage, optimizing energy, comfort, and security.
Designed as a true “iPhone for buildings,” LOBX combines multi-use capabilities, embedded intelligence, and ease of installation in a unique form factor. Early deployments have demonstrated up to 30% energy savings while enhancing infrastructure security.
Recognized among the 20 most impactful innovations at CES Las Vegas 2022, Orioma’s sensor represents a new generation of low-carbon, autonomous solutions designed in France, enabling smarter and more sustainable buildings.
Funding to accelerate industrialization
This €2.5 million funding round enables Huelco to reach a key industrial milestone and initiate large-scale production of LOBX sensors. The group is securing its supply chain, launching mass manufacturing, and structuring its commercial development to meet rapidly growing demand.
In this context, Orioma plans to strengthen its teams and expand its network of partners and distributors to support the scaling of its solutions. The group aims to turn its technological lead into a market standard and accelerate the adoption of low-carbon IoT at scale.
Addressing Europe’s energy and regulatory challenges
Buildings account for nearly 40–45% of national energy consumption and around 25% of CO₂ emissions. Their transformation is a key lever in the energy transition.
At the European level, pressure is increasing due to stricter regulations—particularly the Green Deal, BACS, and Tertiary Decrees—requiring a 40% reduction in energy consumption by 2030.
Orioma’s solution directly addresses these challenges: its low-carbon sensor collects and leverages usage data to monitor and optimize building performance—both existing and new—without requiring heavy works or maintenance.
In this context, the European IoT market—estimated between €150 and €200 billion according to IDC—is accelerating, driven by energy transition, infrastructure digitalization, and technological sovereignty.
Scaling internationally
In a global IoT market expected to reach $1 trillion by 2035, with nearly 25% in Europe according to Statista, Huelco is scaling up Orioma as a key growth driver.
Initially deployed in France, the technology is now expanding internationally: warehouse security projects in ivory coast, pilot programs in Asia (notably Japan and South Korea), and upcoming European deployments.
Building on these early successes, Huelco is strengthening its industrial and commercial capabilities to support this expansion. The group aims to establish Orioma as an open, sovereign technology standard for smart buildings.
A second funding round, planned for Q1 2027, will support this international scaling.
“Our ambition is to make Orioma the global benchmark for energy-autonomous IoT devices. Designing a technology, bringing it to life, industrializing it, and seeing it adopted at scale—that’s what drives us. We have laid the foundations, we are on course, and we are now ready to accelerate,”
concludes Serdar Manakli, Founder and CEO of Huelco.
